Lucigen’s scientists have developed reagents and methods that enable the cloning of any DNA fragment—even “unclonable” inserts.  Using proprietary methods our scientists can clone any size fragment (even to 100kb+)—even recalcitrant inserts which are highly repetitive or highly G/C-or A/T-rich.  A key element of this service is the use of Lucigen’s vectors which incorporate features such as the CloneSmart® transcription terminators to stabilize inserts.  The choice of vector, including the linear pJAZZ® Vector, pSMART® plasmid or BAC vectors is determined according to the requirements of the project.  The client provides the insert DNA and Lucigen provides the tools and expertise to clone it.

What you get

At the completion of the project you are provided the clone(s) in glycerol stock.  A complete report including data generated during quality testing of the clone and any sequence obtained will be provided.
